Per Wästberg
Per Wästberg ( pronunciation: [ ˌ PAE ː ɹ vɛs tbæɹʝ ː ], born November 20, 1933, Stockholm ) is a Swedish writer. From 1979 to 1986 he was president of the International PEN Club. In his socially critical novels and articles, he described the search for freedom in a material world of illusion. Also, he published African literature. Per Wästberg is a member of the Swedish Academy since 1997.
