Peter Pucher

Peter Pucher ( born August 12, 1974 in Prešov, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak ice hockey player standing since 2011 when Orli Znojmo of the Austrian Hockey League contract.

Career

Peter Pucher began his career at HK Prešov, for whom he made ​​his debut in the season 1993/94 in the Slovak Extraliga. In 1995 he moved to HK Poprad and grew to become a key player, so he was taken a year later by the Slovak top club HC Košice under contract. In the following three years he was on the ice for Košice and was Slovakian champion with his club in 1999. After this success, he was taken along with Marek Uram from Czech climber HC Orli Znojemští under contract, for which he completed in the next eight years over 350 games in the Czech Extraliga. Middle of the season 2006/ 07 he moved from Znojmo for HC Moeller Pardubice, with whom he was at the end of the same season of Czech runner-up. In March 2009, Pucher was loaned to HC Kometa Brno to deny the playoffs the first League of HC Pardubice. With Brno he failed because of the rise in the Extraliga, but Kometa acquired a Extraliga license. Pucher remained at HC Kometa and completed 15 games for the club before he returned in his home country in November 2009 and was taken from the HKm Zvolen under contract.

For the 2011/12 season was Pucher pledge of his former club from Znojmo, in the meantime participated under the name Orli Znojmo of the game operation of the Austrian Hockey League.

Internationally

Peter Pucher belonged to the squad of the Slovak national team at seven world championships. His first World Cup he played in 1994, when the Slovak selection made ​​the ascent from Division II to Division I. There were other World Cups 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2005, where he won the silver medal in 2000 and 2002 World Champion.
