Petr Kalus

Petr Kalus ( born June 29, 1987 in Ostrava, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player who is under contract with SHC Fassa in the Italian Serie A1 since summer 2012.

Career

Petr Kalus began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior section of the HC Vitkovice, for the first team, he made his debut in the Extraliga in the season 2004/ 05. In his only use point and he remained unpunished. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2005 in the second round than a total of 39 players from the Boston Bruins. First, the winger played a year for the Regina Pats in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League and scored for the Canadians in a total of 66 games 40 goals and 23 templates. In the regular season he was top scorer with 36 rookies all of the WHL. In the season 2006/ 07 he came to Boston for his debut in the National Hockey League, where he scored four goals in nine games and gave a presentation. He spent the entire rest of the season, however, at their farm team Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League.

On 1 July 2007 Kalus was released by the Boston Bruins in exchange for a fourth- round option for the NHL Entry Draft 2009 to the Minnesota Wild. With these he came in the aftermath initially only for their AHL farm team Houston Aeros used. In the 2008 /09 season the links Sagittarius also played for the HK MVD Balaschicha in the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League in which he prepared two goals in 17 games. He then returned to the farm team back to Houston, for which he in the following season in 66 games 23 points scorer, twelve goals scored. Because of its good services, he stood for the Minnesota Wild in the same season twice more in the NHL on the ice. The 2010/11 season began, the Czech in the Houston Aeros in the AHL before he was transferred in March 2011 to the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL. These set him for the rest of the season from their AHL farm team to Springfield Falcons.

At the end of the season his NHL contract ran out and Kalus received a sample contract with Jokerit Helsinki. For Jokerit, he completed three games as part of the European Trophy in 2011, but was not given a place in the squad of the club. Beginning of September 2011 HC Slavia Prague from Kalus from the Czech Extraliga was committed. In mid-January 2012, dissolved his contract after he was no longer preempted regularly used, and joined the Elitserien to MODO Hockey. In summer 2012 he changed to the Italian Serie A1, where he signed for SHC Fassa.

Internationally

For Kalus Czech Republic took part in the junior level at the U18 World Junior Championship in 2005 and the Under-20 Junior World Cup in 2006. In the senior level, he was so far only in 2008 -up from their country in the Euro Hockey Tour.
