Petri Pasanen (born 24 September 1980 in Lahti ) is a Finnish footballer who is currently at Aarhus GF under contract.

Career

Association

The center-back started his professional career in the Finnish first division club FC Lahti. For the season 2000/ 01 he moved for the sum of 2.6 million euros to Ajax Amsterdam in the Netherlands. But after an injury of the young national team lost contact with the first team.

In order to nevertheless get some match practice, agreed Pasanen 2004 a change on loan to the English first division club FC Portsmouth. After half a season in England, he moved on 15 July 2004 to the German Bundesliga Werder Bremen. There, he won next Valérien Ismaël and against national player Frank Fahrenhorst a regular place in central defense.

His career suffered in the fall of 2005, a kink, as he followed head trauma failed after a head injury about six months. In summer 2011, the Finn moved to Austria for FC Red Bull Salzburg. End of the season it was announced that his contract will not be renewed and he will leave the club. In July 2012, he signed a contract with Aarhus GF, with which he will play in the Super League.

Pasanen made ​​his debut in the senior team on 15 November 2000 in Dublin during the 0-3 defeat against Ireland.
