Piešťany District

The Okres Piešťany is an administrative region in western Slovakia with 63 964 inhabitants ( 2004) and an area of 381 km ².

The district is included in the Považie between the Inowetz and the northern Lesser Carpathians. In the north it is bordered by the districts and Nové Mesto nad Váhom Myjava in Trenčín Region, on the east by the district Topoľčany in Nitriansky kraj and on the south by the district Hlohovec and to the west the district of Trnava.

Historically, the district is located entirely within the former county Neutra (see also List of historic counties of Hungary ).
