Pisa–Livorno–Rome railway
The railway Pisa - Rome is a two-track, electrified main line in Italy. It is operated by the Ferrovie dello Stato (FS ).
The railway line runs along the Tyrrhenian Sea. From Pisa led them along the Etruscan Coast through the Maremma, at the Tolfabergen over the Tiber Valley. It crosses while the regions of Tuscany and Lazio. It is built entirely double track and next to Rome and Pisa connects the provincial capitals Livorno, Grosseto and the important port city of Civitavecchia. Previously, she was the main route from Turin and Genoa to Rome, today it is bypassed by the long-distance trains on Florence. However, there are several intercity and Euro Star Italia connections via Pisa and Grosseto.
