Pla de Mallorca
Pla de Mallorca, Es Pla is a region ( in Catalan comarca ) on the Spanish Balearic island of Mallorca. It is located in the central part of the island. Es Pla is a plain between the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana in the northwest and the Serres de Llevant in the east, which is only interrupted by small mountain ranges. The highest point is on the border with southern neighbor Migjorn the 540 -meter high table mountain Puig de Randa.
From the region Es Pla most agricultural products for the daily needs of the island such as potatoes, rice, corn and vegetables come. In addition, wine is grown and there are a variety of almond tree plantations. With their extensive fields, it is also known as the granary of Pla Mallorca.
