Population statistics for Israeli West Bank settlements

This list of Israeli settlements leads to all Israeli settlements in the occupied territory of the West Bank.

In December 2009 there were, according to official Israeli sources 121 existing settlements and 100 outposts. The four settlements Kadim, Ganim, Sa Nur and Chomesch were abandoned under the Abkoppelungsplans.

Table

The settlements: Ginot Shomron and Neve Menachem were combined with Karnei Shomron.

2004

In 2004 Ofarim was merged with Bet Arjere.

In addition to the officially recognized by the Israeli government as an independent municipality settlements there are also about 100 smaller settlements (English " outpost " ) are referred to as " outposts".

These small informal settlements are built illegally either under Israeli law, are located near existing settlements and are considered as belonging to them or there are military outpost.
