Poul Reichhardt
Poul Reichhardt (actually Poul David Reichhardt; born February 2, 1913 in Ganløse, municipality Egedal the Capital Region in Sjælland, † 31 October 1985 in Skagen ) was a Danish actor.
Life
Reichhardt grew up as an only child with his mother and his stepfather, a teacher in the district of Vesterbro in Copenhagen Kødbyen and later on in Nørrebro. He made his debut in 1931 in the play Styrmand Karlsen flammer in Nørrebro Theatre in Copenhagen. At Det Kongelige Teater ( Royal Theatre ) in Copenhagen he worked from 1950 and became best known for his performances in the role of Biff Loman in the play Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller and Ralph Rackstraw in HMS as Pinafore by Arthur Sullivan. Other important roles he had as Papageno in The Magic Flute by Mozart as well as Meyer in the piece Indenfor Murene ( within the walls ) by Henri Nathansen. Reichhardt was also for several years president of the " union of stage actors and opera singers " Foreningen af Skuespil -og Opera Personale Det Kongelige Teater. In addition, he was also very active in the Danish actor Association ( Dansk Skuespillerforbund ).
In addition, he played early on as a film actor in many Danish film and television productions, until the end of his acting career. Among other things, he played in the Danish television series Oh, these tenants ( Huset på Christianshavn ) 1970-1977 and in the film Ballade på Christianshavn furniture carrier Olsen.
Private
In his first marriage Reichhardt was married to Swedish actress Margaret Fahlén since 1955. They were divorced and he married in 1962 his second wife, the actress Charlotte Ernst ( 1939-1973 ), with whom he was married until her death. They had four children together, of which the son of Peter Reichhardt actor was also.
Poul Reichhardt ill 1981, a blood clot, which he had to live in a row with a disability and give up his acting career. Most recently, he lived in until his death in 1985, Skagen. Reichhardt was buried in the cemetery Ordrup ( Ordrup Kirkegård ) in Copenhagen.
