Prestin Ryan

Prestin Ryan ( born January 6, 1980 in Arcola, Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays for the Mora IK of the HockeyAllsvenskan since October 2012.

Career

The 1.83 m tall defender played in his junior time for Yorkton Parkland Mallers in the Canadian Amateur Football League Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League and then was followed for three seasons for the Estevan Bruins of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League on the ice. During his college time the shooter was left in the squad of the ice hockey team of the University of Maine in the Hockey East, a league game in the operation of the NCAA.

For the season 2004 /05, Ryan was taken because of its success in college sports as ungedrafteter free agent by the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League contract. However, this put him only at their farm team, the Syracuse Crunch in the AHL and eventually transferred him to the Premier League rivals Vancouver Canucks. For Canadians Ryan was in the 2005/06 season his debut in the top North American professional league, but most of the time he played for the Manitoba Moose cooperation partners in the American Hockey League. 2007 joined the Canadians in the organization of the Chicago Blackhawks, where he played for the Rockford IceHogs. Due to a concussion but the defender had to quit after 44 games the season.

2008 signed Prestin Ryan valid until the end of the season contract with the Adler Mannheim of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga .. For the 2009/10 season he had a contract with the ERC Ingolstadt. In August 2010, the Canadians signed with the Iserlohn Roosters, where he replaced the Test player David Walker. For the 2011/12 season he returned to Ingolstadt.
