The Autoroute 85 is a highway -like road ( Freeway) in the eastern Canadian province of Quebec, which is part of the Trans-Canada Highway system. It begins as a branch of Autoroute 20 at Rivière -du -Loup and ends after 12 km at Saint -Antonin.

Route description

The Autoroute 85 branches at Rivière -du -Loup of the Autoroute 20 in an easterly direction. After 7 km, starts at an exit route 191 This leads first to the center of Rivière -du -Loup and then on to Cacouna. The auto route runs southeast and ends after a further 5 km at Saint -Antonin. The route follows further than Route 185 to New Brunswick.

Expansion projects

The Autoroute 85 will be further extended and will in the medium to replace the Route 185. Thus, a continuous highway from Arnprior to Ottawa, the Ontario Highway 417 is provided to New Glasgow on Nova Scotia Highway 104.
