Geography

Geographical location

Rangendingen between Hechingen and Haigerloch in the Valley of Starzel. Shares of nature reserves Espen hole Rear dump and Kapfhalde are on the boundary Rangendingen and Hirrlingen respectively.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Rangendingen ( 4217 inhabitants on 31 December 2008), Bietenhausen (524 inhabitants) and courtyards village ( 557 inhabitants). To Bietenhausen and Rangendingen each include only the villages of the same name. For district courts village include the village courtyards village and the homestead Vogelherdhof.

History

Bietenhausen village and farms were incorporated to Rangendingen on 1 April 1972.

Spatial Planning

Rangendingen belongs together with Hechingen, Burladingen, Bisingen, Haigerloch Grosselfingen and Jungingen as part of the Zoning and Planning Neckar-Alb region to the central region Hechingen and together with Jungingen member of the administrative community Hechingen.

Economy and infrastructure

Traffic

The public transport is guaranteed by the integrated transport system Neckar -Alb -Donau ( NALDO ). The municipality is located on the honeycomb limit 329/332.

Power supply

The electricity network in the municipality is operated by EnBW Regional AG.

Gas supply

The natural gas network is operated by the Fair Energy GmbH, a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Reutlingen GmbH and EnBW Municipal Investments GmbH.

Water supply

The relation of drinking water is done via the special purpose association Starzel - Eyach water supply group based in Haigerloch. The drinking water is supplied from the waterworks Hirrlinger mills in Bietenhausen.
