Geographical location

Council Hausen is on the western edge of the Swabian Alb mountain southwest of the Plett. South of Ratshausen is the Ortenberg. Ratshausen is crossed by the small river Schlichem. The municipality is located in the recreation area Upper Schlichemtal.

History

Ratshausen

Among the historical characteristics of the village council Hausen heard the strikingly frequent occurrence of the name Dannecker, who has become known for the book was born in the forest near Stuttgart sculptor Johann Heinrich von Dannecker. Ratshausen is significant as the headquarters of the Dannecker family. Core Hausen

On the denunciation of Ratshausen was until 1400 another small village called core Hausen. The village core Hausen was first mentioned in 1258 as Keren Husen.
