Rawle Marshall

Rawle Junior Kalomo Marshall ( born February 20, 1982 in Georgetown, Guyana ) is an American professional basketball player. Since the 2013/14 season in Romania for the local series champion CSU Asesoft from Ploieşti.

Career as a player

College

Marshall grew up in Detroit and studied at Ball State University in the U.S. state of Indiana. After a year he returned to Michigan and continued his studies at Oakland University in Rochester continued. Due to the regulations of the College Football NCAA he was by the change of college for a year is not eligible to play in official matches. As of 2002, he played three seasons for the Golden Grizzlies in the Summit League the First Division

NBA

Although not included in the Entry Draft, the NBA got Marshall for the 2005-2006 season a contract with the Dallas Mavericks. Between December 2005 and February 2006 he was transferred to the farm team Fort Worth Flyers of the NBA Development League. After his return, he was able to work out some playing time because of injuries to other players, but was no longer included in the play- offs of the season in which the Mavericks for the first time moved into the finals of the NBA. For the following season, he was released in a player exchange to the Indiana Pacers. After a further 40 games, he got a new contract more and went to Europe.

Europe

Also in European clubs, he remained generally not more than one season. Initially he was in the 2007/ 08 season at KK Hemofarm Vrsac from under contract by which he reached the final series in the Adriatic League and Serbian Cup that were lost each against Partizan Belgrade. In the ULEB Eurocup they lost the second round against eventual finalists Akasvayu Girona. With Cibona from Zagreb, Croatia, he started in the highest European club competition ULEB Euro League and was on the seventh Round of the 2008/09 season Most Valuable Player ( MVP) selected. In January 2009, he joined the Super League Russia to Rostov locomotive.

In the following season 2009/10 he was initially active for a few games in the Spanish first division club Power Electronics Valencia. The contract was canceled on November 1 and during the Spanish club the Eurocup 2009/10 won the final against Alba Berlin at the end of the season, Marshall changed mid-November 2009 to the French giants ASVEL Villeurbanne out. The defending champion of the French championship difference in the ULEB Euro League 2009/10 from an early stage and also missed the play-offs for the national championship. For the season 2010/11 Marshall joined the A1 Ethniki to PAOK Thessaloniki. After a third place in the Greek championship, he moved to the beginning of the season 2011/ 12 for newly BK Astana to Kazakhstan. For Astana, he played two years in the VTB United League and in the Kazakh Cup. He was three times Kazakh Cup winner and two-time champion of Kazakhstan. In November 2011 he was elected MVP of the month in the VTB United League. At the start of the 2013/14 season he moved to the local nachRumänien series champion CSU Asesoft from Ploieşti.
