Geography
Geographical Location
Reichel home is located in the middle Odenwald in 200-538 meters altitude in the middle of Geo - Mountain Natural Park Street -Odenwald.

History
For the first time the church was mentioned in records in 1303.

In April 1744, the first post office opened in Reichelsheim and Cent Count Georg Sebastian Willenbücher appointed Imperial postmaster. With certificate of appointment of Thurn und Taxis of 8 December 1843 Ortseinnehmer Friedrich people was appointed postmaster and built a letter and driving post expedition in the Heidelberg Road on January 1, 1844. Since 1995, held annually on the last weekend in October, the Reichelsheimer tales and legends day with presentation of Wildweibchenstein price instead. Many medieval structures and coverings are to be admired.
Regional Museum
Housed in the former town hall of 1554, Germany's oldest half-timbered town hall with the man form as Verstrebungsfigur. Castle Reichenberg
The present castle was built as Reichenberg Richburg in the 13th century, first mentioned in the year 1307. Remarkably, the mansion is ( Palas ). The palace was named because of its curved floor plan of the building Krumme.
Here the later naturalist Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees was born of Esenbeck on 14 February 1776. He was a friend of Goethe, co-founder of the University of Bonn and the Botanical Gardens Bonn, 40 years as president of the Leopoldina and director of the botanical gardens in Breslau, where he died on 16 March 1858.
Until the mid- 19th century, the castle was in varying noble possession. From 1876 to 1924, the castle now Reichenberg was used facility referred to as a private school for boys of upscale items.
