René Haselbacher ( born September 15, 1977 in Vienna ) is an Austrian former road bicycle racer.
Sports career
From his eighth to the tenth year of life René Haselbacher played football. At 14, then he moved to cycling. He was a professional cyclist in 1996 and first went for the two Austrian team Elk Haus and Tel - mineral wool.
As of 1999 drove Haselbacher for the German Gerolsteiner team headed by Hans -Michael Holczer. His biggest success Haselbacher in April 2006 with the total victory of the Rhineland -Palatinate Tour. In the years 2007 and 2008 he drove for the team Astana. Since the 2009 season, the Sprinter was launched for the Austrian Vorarlberg - Corratec team. July 1, 2010 René Haselbacher left this team after its loss of license as a Pro Continental status.
In February 2011 Haselbacher ended his career after an unsuccessful search team. He then moved to South Africa, the home of his wife.
