René Kalmer

René Kalmer (born 3 November 1980) is a South African middle and long distance runner.

In 1997, she won her first national championship titles over 1500 meters, in cross country and in the 10 - km road race. Others followed more than 800 m in 2003, about 1500 m from 2001 to 2004, 2007 and 2010, over 5000 m 2000, 2001, 2004, 2007, 2008 and 2010, in the cross-country running on the short distance in 2002 and 2004 and in the 10 - km road race 2007 and 2009.

At the international level it started at the IAAF 2001 World Championships in Edmonton and the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing more than 1500 m, but different from each in the flow.

In 2009, she came at the World Half Marathon Championships in Birmingham on the 15th place and won at its debut at the 42,195 -km route the Soweto Marathon.

In 2010 she presented the half-marathon competition of the Two Oceans Marathon with 1:12:39 h on a course record.

René Kalmer is unmarried, lives in Roodepoort and starts for the Nedbank Running Club.
