Reveal is the twelfth studio album by the American rock band REM and was released on 14 May 2001 as the successor of Up. The album reached the top position on the charts, among others, in the UK and Germany.

Criticism

The reviews were mainly positive. Joachim Gauger of laut.de reports of fantastic songs and a dreamlike melancholy for a warm summer evening. For Konrad Heidkamp the album was a "masterpiece"; the band had " the promise of the magical combination of Enigma, rock mainstream and art met. " says Matthias iron from cdstarts.de that it had succeeded with Reveal to deliver a good and innovative, atmospheric record. In metacritic.com album reached an average of 76 points based on 20 reviews.
