Riddell Akua

Riddell Akua ( born January 26, 1963) is a politician and member of the nauruischer Nauruan Parliament since 3 May 2003. Since then, he is also chairman of the Nauruan phosphates Corporation ( NPC). Akua is one of Naoero Amo - party and was Speaker of Parliament from 22 June to 1 October 2004. He was re-elected in the 2004 elections.

After re- election in 2007, he was appointed Speaker of Parliament; he left office, however, on 18 March 2008 low after the unselected in December grouping around Ludwig Scotty tried to force a vote of no confidence. David Adeang took over the office spanked on March 20, 2008. Since the elections on 26 April, the government once again has a solid majority, so Akua was re-elected as Speaker of Parliament.
