The Nauruan Parliament, locally common in Nauru as the House is composed of 19 members. It holds its meetings usually starting on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The second last elections were held on 19 June 2010. The last elections were held on June 8, 2013. The parliament elects the president from among its members.
The Parliament meets in an opulent building complex in Yaren, which was built mainly of pink and white marble from Australia. In addition to the meeting room, various offices and secretariats of the building also houses the cafeteria and the Parliamentary Archives.
