Winner of the Danish Film Awards in Robert introduced in 2001, Best Director ( Årets instructor). The Danish Film Academy ( Danmarks film Akademi ) awards since 1984, each year their awards for the best film productions and filmmakers in late January or early February at the Robert Festival in Copenhagen.

The most successful in this category was the Danish director Per Fly brought it so far on three awards.
