Robert Karlsson

Robert Karlsson ( born September 3, 1969 in St. Malm, Sweden ) is a professional golfer on the European Tour and the PGA Tour.

Career

The son of a greenkeeper in 1989 professional golfer and qualified in the following year for the European Tour. Since then, he was able to hold through constant play there, to have won eleven tournaments, and is the most successful Swede. With his victory in the Celtic Manor Wales Open 2006 Karlsson set with 124 bezw. 190 beats tour new records for two ( 36 holes ) bezw. three laps (54 holes). In the European Tour Order of Merit in 2006 reached number 4 and in 2008 he became the first Swede those money list standings and the associated Harry Vardon Trophy. In November 2008, he brought with Henrik Stenson the World Cup for Sweden.

He was a member of the Continental European team in the Seve Trophy in 2000, 2002, 2007 and 2009. In the Ryder Cup, he was in 2006 and 2008 in the European team.

Robert Karlsson is 1.96 meters with the greatest golfer on the European Tour. He is a typical frontrunner who could make the most of his tournament victories from the leading position.

He is married to his wife Ebba, has two children and lives, like many of his countrymen, in the tax haven of Monaco.
