Roman Berdnikov

Roman Sergeyevich Berdnikov (Russian Роман Сергеевич Бердников; * July 18, 1992 in Omsk ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with Avangard Omsk in the Continental HK Hockey League since 2011.

Career

Roman Berdnikov began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the HK Avangard Omsk, for the second team, he was active in the third-class Perwaja League from 2007 to 2009. The 2009/10 season he spent with the Owen Sound Attack in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League. Then the winger initially returned to Awangards junior team Omskije Jastreby from the multinational junior league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League, before he again mid-season 2010/11 Owen Sound Attack of the OHL joined. With Owen Sound, he won at the end of the season the J. Ross Robertson Cup, the champion of the OHL. Thus, he qualified his team for the Memorial Cup, the final tournament for the championship of the Canadian Hockey League, but was there with his team prevail not.

For the 2011/12 season Bernikow was obliged again from HK Avangard Omsk, for their first team he runs in the Kontinental Hockey League, but mostly at Omskije Jastreby is employed.

Internationally

For Russia Berdnikov took part in the Under-18 Junior World Cup in 2010. During the tournament he scored two goals in seven games and four assists.
