Roman Catholic Diocese of Lucera–Troia

The Diocese of Lucera - Troia (Latin: Dioecesis Lucerinus - Troianus, Italian: Diocese of Lucera - Troia) is located in Italy Roman Catholic diocese based in Lucera.

History

The Diocese of Lucera - Troia was built as a diocese of Lucera in the 4th century and the Archdiocese of Benevento is a suffragan. In 1391 the diocese of Lucera, the territory of the dissolved diocese Fiorentino was affiliated. The diocese of Lucera was in 1409 annexed the territory of the diocese Tortiboli resolved. 1439 was the annexation of the territory of the dissolved diocese Civitate. The Diocese of Lucera was from 1478 parts of its territory to the re-establishment of the Diocese of Civitate. On June 27, 1818 the diocese of Lucera, the territory of the dissolved Vulturara diocese was annexed.

The Diocese of Lucera was placed under the Archdiocese of Foggia suffragan on April 30, 1979. On 30 September 1986 the diocese of Lucera, the diocese of Troia was affiliated.
