Ronnie Quintarelli

Ronnie Quintarelli ( born August 9, 1979 in Verona ) is an Italian racing driver. In 2004 he won the Japanese Formula 3 Championship.

Career

Quintarelli began his motorsport career in 1990 in karting, where he was active until 1999. Later he went to to each kart race. In 2000 he moved to Formula racing and finished third in the Italian Formula Renault. In 2001, he joined Although again to an Italian Formula Renault race. The most successful of the Italians was this season but in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup, where he finished in seventh place in the drivers' standings with a win. He also competed in the German Formula 3 Championship and was 25th in the overall standings. In 2002 he went to the German Formula Volkswagen at the start and was charged with four wins runner-up.

2003 left the racers Europe and moved to Inging Motorsport in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship. He could not decide races for themselves, thanks to twelve podium finishes but he was still runner-up behind James Courtney. 2004 Quintarelli denied for Inging his second season in the Japanese Formula 3 with eight victories, he won the championship.

2005 joined the Italians in the Formula Nippon in which he took for Kondo Racing in six races. With a second place as best result he finished ninth in the drivers' standings. He also competed in the Super GT, in which it was 28th. In 2006 he returned to Inging Motorsport and denied his second season in Formula Nippon. At the end of the season, he finished tenth in the championship. He also took part in a race of the Super GT and took Spyker MF1 for participating in Formula 1 test drives. 2007 Quintarelli remained at Inging Motorsport and won his first race in Mimasaka in Formula Nippon. At the end of the season he finished in seventh place overall, which was his best position in Formula Nippon. In 2008 he re-entered in the Formula Nippon. With a third place as best result he finished ninth in the Formula Nippon. After he had participated in only three races in the Super GT 2007, he contested the 2008 parallel season in the Super GT. With a victory, he was twelfth in the championship.

2009 Quintarelli left the Formula Nippon and focused on its commitment to the Super GT. With a win, he finished seventh overall. In 2010, he remained in the Super GT.
