Rorbas
Rorbas is a municipality in the district of Bülach in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland.

Geography
Rorbas is the bottom of the municipality Tösstal and lies immediately upstream of the mouth of the River Toess in the Rhine ( Tössegg ), nestled between the Dättenberg and Irchel.
Name
Rorbas was called in earlier times Rorboz or Rorboss.
The part Ror derived from cane ( reeds ), meant during boz knock or push ( biuzu ). In its composition Rorbas points to an area where earlier reed was cut.

History
On Carnival Sunday of the year 1538, 30 houses were burned in a conflagration.
Population
