Rouchovany

Rouchovany is a municipality in the highlands of the region Kraj (Czech Republic). On 2,476 acres there live 1088 inhabitants.

History

1218 the settlement was first mentioned in writing, as the vicar was listed as a witness in a dispute over the mill in Znojmo. 1353 the place was appointed town. The confirmation was made in 1486 by King Matthias Corvinus. 1369 was the town of Margrave brewing rights, Kaduzitätsrecht and asylum.
