Roy Paci

Roy Paci ( born September 16, 1969 in Augusta, Sicily ) (actually Paci Rosario ) is an Italian trumpeter, singer, composer and arranger.

Life and musical work

Roy Paci learned as a child playing the piano and began at the age of 10 years playing the trumpet. Age of 13, he played traditional jazz and performed in Italian jazz clubs.

1990 Paci moved to South America. He traveled to Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil and played cumbia and other popular music. On a side trip to the Canary Islands and Senegal he was influenced more musical. On these trips Paci toured with various musicians and has participated in a number of projects, film and television productions and political actions - such as Amnesty International's campaign against violence against women - with.

Back in Italy Paci played with various bands from the alternative rock scene such as Persian Jones, Qbeta, Mau Mau, Banda Ionica and To. The list of these collaborations reflects the breadth of his musical influences and preferences of punk and ska, to free jazz and Italian funeral marches.
