Rozmierz

Rozmierz ( German: Rosmierz ) is a town in Poland in Upper Silesia in the community Strzelce ( United Strehlitz ) in the powiat Strzelecki in the Opole Voivodeship.

Geographical Location

Rozmierz is located seven kilometers north- west of the seat of the municipality and the county town of Strzelce and 25 kilometers southeast of the Opole voivodship.

History

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 139 voters voted to remain in Germany and 193 for Poland. Rosmierz remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 679 inhabitants in the village. On July 21, 1936, the place in Angersbach / Upper Silesia has been renamed. 1939, the place had 670 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Great Strehlitz.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Rozmierz and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Strzelecki.
