Rusko

Rusko [ ruskɔ ] is a municipality in the southwestern Finnish landscape Varsinais -Suomi with 5905 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It belongs to the Greater Turku and located 11 kilometers north of the city center. The community is monolingual Finnish speakers.

Except for the Kirchdorf Rusko to the municipality includes the villages of Asola, Hiidenvainio, Hujala, Kankare, Liukola, Lähteenmäki, Munittula, Märttelä, Papumäki and Uttula. The first mention of Rusko dates back to 1337th The Church of Rusko was built 1510-1530. 1741-44 was followed by a free-standing bell stack. Turku Airport was formerly part of Rusko, its territory was but meanwhile slammed the city of Turku. At the beginning of 2009, the neighboring community Vahto was incorporated.
