Ryan Koolwijk

Ryan Koolwijk ( born August 8, 1985 in Rotterdam, South Holland) is a Dutch football player. The defensive midfielder is in the 2011/12 season at NEC Nijmegen under contract.

Koolwijk learned to play football in vv Lekkerkerk, before he moved to the D- youth in the youth department of Excelsior Rotterdam. Here he went through the other teens and was eventually included in the squad of the second team Jong Excelsior. Only with already 22 years he came as an amateur under coach Ton Lokhoff in the 2007/ 08 season on December 30, 2007 against Roda JC on his debut in the Eredivisie.
