Geography

The center of San Lorenzo is located at an altitude of 560 m above sea level. A., the highest point in the municipality is located in North Töllmarkogel with 1366 m.

Sankt Lorenzen im Muerztal is located northeast of the city of Kapfenberg. Other neighboring municipalities are (clockwise) Parschlug, Turnau, Kindberg, All Saints in Muerztal, Mürzhofen and St. Marein in Muerztal.

History

Sankt Lorenzen im Muerztal was first mentioned in the year 860.

The place went through the Lorenzer lintel on 8 May 1921 in the history.
