Santa Cruz (Rio de Janeiro)
Santa Cruz is a heavily populated district with 191 836 inhabitants of Rio de Janeiro. Santa Cruz is home to the 19th Administrative Region Rios, which also include Paciência and Sepetiba and lies about 60 km west of the center of Rio de Janeiro.
Infrastructure
It is crossed by the S-Bahn Central do Brasil and has a varied landscape with rural, commercial, residential and industrial areas on. The population consists mostly of middle and lower layer with low income. Economically important is the harbor of the nearby Itaguaí.
History
Santa Cruz is over 444 years old, came from a farm and founded in 1567.
