Sean Curry

Sean Curry ( born April 29, 1982 in Burnsville, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player who last stood until 2011 at the Hamburg Freezers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract.

Career

Sean Curry began his career as a hockey player in Canadian junior Western Hockey League, where he was from 2000 to 2002 for the Tri -City Americans and Medicine Hat Tigers active. During this period he was also selected in the NHL Entry Draft in the seventh round in 2001 when a total of 211 players from the Carolina Hurricanes for which, however, he never played. Instead, the defender from 2002 to 2005 ran for the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League on. In the season 2002/ 03 he also came to 33 appearances for their cooperation partners Florida Everblades in the ECHL. From 2005 to 2008 he played for the AHL team of the Providence Bruins. He subsequently received a contract in the organization of the Philadelphia Flyers, for their AHL farm team Philadelphia Phantoms he first ran aground in the 2008 /09 season. Once this was moved, the links Sagittarius played in the following season and for its successor team Adirondack Red Wings.

The 2010/11 season began curry at the Toledo Walleye in the ECHL. Already after only two games, he joined in November 2010 the Hamburg Freezers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga game. In these he had a regular place in the subsequent period and prepared in 34 games six goals before. After missing the playoffs with the Freezers, he received a new contract.
