Senyera (Valencia)

Senyera is a Spanish municipality in the province of Valencia, in the comarca of Ribera Alta. It is bordered by the same Comerca associated communities Manuel, Pobla Llarga, Sant Joan de l' Ènova and Castelló de la Ribera.

Geographical Location

The municipality is situated on the right bank of the river Albaida. A grave system distributes river water for irrigation.

Economy

Mainly agricultural practices, notably the cultivation of orange trees, vegetables and corn. An irrigation acreage is consistently required. Main source of income is the export of oranges. Livestock is operated only to a lesser extent (mostly family businesses ). Need for industry, trade and services is mainly covered by the neighboring Castelló de la Ribera.
