Shaone Morrisonn
Shaone Morrisonn ( born December 23, 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since June 2013 at the TPS Turku of the SM- liiga under contract.
Playing career
Shaone Morrisonn began his career with the Kamloops Blazers in the Canadian Junior Football League WHL before being selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2001 as 19th in the first round by the Boston Bruins.
For the Bruins the links Sagittarius 2002/03, completed his first NHL bets, the big break it was not yet possible, so he spent most of his time in the Boston farm team, the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League, and finally in 2004 moved to Washington.
After a good season with the Portland Pirates, the AHL farm team of the Capitals during the NHL lockout in 2004/05 the Canadians heard from the season 2005/ 06 to the root cadres in Washington. By 2010, he played more than 400 games in the NHL for the Capitals before his contract with them and Morrisonn was fitted in August 2010 as a free agent by the Buffalo Sabres to a two-year contract. In the first contract year, he ran for the Sabres in the NHL, as he came only for the farm team of the franchise, the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League for the second year to use.
After the expiry of the contract with the Sabres Morrisonn changed the first time in his career to Europe and was obliged by HK Spartak Moscow from the Kontinental Hockey League. For Spartak, he completed 46 missions to January 2013, before he was given to the HK CSKA Moscow, Spartak since had no chance of reaching the play-offs.
In June 2013 Morrisonn moved to TPS Turku of the SM- liiga.
