Sibylle Canonica

Sibylle Canonica ( born April 26, 1957 in Bern ) is a Swiss actress.

Life

Sibylle Canonica studied acting at the Folkwang School in Essen and in 1981 became engaged to her first theater engagement at the Staatstheater Oldenburg. In 1985 she was awarded a prize of the Berlin Academy of the Arts for the Performing Arts. About the Staatstheater Stuttgart and the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus they came in 1985 at the Munich Chamber games to Dieter Dorn, who took them to the Bavarian State Theatre in 2001. In addition, she appeared again as a guest at the Vienna Festival and Salzburg Festival. Throughout her career she has worked with directors such as Francis Xavier Kroetz, Thomas Langhoff, Hans Lietzau, George Tabori and Peter Zadek.

After roles in Hans- Christian Schmid's After Five in the jungle and Caroline Link's Oscar -nominated Beyond the Silence she played in 1999 in Egon Günther film The Bride Charlotte von Stein. Sibylle Canonica in 2002 was honored with a nomination for Bella Martha for Best Actress for the Swiss Film Prize. She took on roles in the episode the scene and police series such as The Last Witness, The Old Man, Stolberg and The criminalist. In 2009, she was standing next to Henry Hübchen and Burghart Klaussner for the movie age and beauty in front of the camera, in which she played the former mistress of the terminally ill actor Manny, Peter Lohmeyer. In Matti Geschonneck Two Piece Kidnapped, she appeared as the wife of industrialist Targensee shown by Friedrich von Thun.
