Siegfried Köhler

Siegfried Köhler ( born October 6, 1935 in Forst) is a former German racing cyclist.

Siegfried Köhler was a versatile train driver and was considered a " locomotive" of the East German railway quad. From 1956 to 1959 he was East German champion in the individual pursuit, multiple world record holder in the team pursuit and six-time national champion in the two - team driving, 1958 with Werner Malitz, 1961, 1963, 1965, 1966 and 1967 with Wolfgang Schmelzer as well as 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1966 five-time East German champion in the team pursuit. Furthermore, it was 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1963, 1964 International Winter Track Champion in the Omnium, 1965 in a two - team driving as well as winner of the "1001 Round " in 1958 and 1961.
