Sloveč

Sloveč ( German Slow Adige, also Slowecz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers north-east of Městec Králové and belongs to fulltext your real estates.

Geography

Sloveč located on the Bohemian panel. Northeast stretches of woodland Osecký les, where the hill ( 291 m) rises "Well pískách ". Also in the north- east lies the deserted village Voděrady.

Neighboring towns are Kněžice in the north, Nový Dvůr and Kamilov in the northeast, Střihov in the east, Nový the southeast, Běruničky in the south, Městec Králové in the southwest, Vinice in the west and Záhornice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Sloveč took place in 1278 in a tithe directory. In the 14th century, the monastery of the Cross with the Red Star acquired at the Prague Zderaz the goods and the patronage of the church. During the Hussite Wars, the village came to secular owners. According to various noble families Sloveč came to the estates of the Bohemian chamber and was connected at the beginning of the 16th century reign of the chamber Brandys. By 1550, the classification of the chamber rule Městec Králové, later Sloveč the reign Dymokury was submissive. In 1711 was built to replace the ruined church with a new wooden bell tower, which collapsed in 1772. Around 1770 a school was established.

After the abolition of patrimonial Sloveč formed in 1850 with the district Nový Dvůr a municipality in the district Poděbrady. 1902, the new school building was inaugurated. With the beginning of 1961 the municipality Sloveč was assigned to the fulltext your real estates, at the same time was the incorporation of Kamilov and Střihov.
