South African Springbok Championship Series
The Springbok Series was a sports car racing series, which took place from 1966 to the winter months in southern Africa. In 1973, she was discontinued after two heats due to the oil crisis and not revived.
Overview
The race took place in the period November to January, the nine hours of Kyalami traditionally represented the beginning of the season. The racing life of other races was typically 3 hours. The highest levels reached the racing calendar in the years 1970 and 1971, each with 6 heats (all routes listed below except East London ).
