South Kesteven

South Kesteven is a District in the county of Lincolnshire in England. Administrative seat is the town of Grantham. Other important towns are Bourne, Castle Bytham, Colsterworth, Deeping St James, Folkingham, Long Bennington, Market Deeping and Stamford.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Municipal Boroughs Grantham and Stamford, Bourne and the Urban District of South Kesteven Rural District and South Kesteven. This previously belonged to all Kesteven, one of the existing 1889 to 1974 the administrative county.
