Stabæk Fotball

Stabæk Fotball is a football club which is one of the multi- sports club Stabæk IF; ( Stabæk Idrettsforening, in German: Stabæker sports club ) from the municipality Bærum, Norway. The club was founded on March 16, 1912. Homestead is since 2012 again the Nadderud Stadium with a capacity of 7,000 seats. The team plays at home in blue- black and abroad in blue and white jerseys.

History

For a long time the team played Stabæk Fotball only unterklassig. In the late 1980s, the rise of the club, as the team until 1995, marched to the rise in the Viertklassigkeit 1987 by the league system, reaching the first-class Tippeligaen began.

After Stabæk Fotball still played against the relegated again in the first year, the team placed in the following years laid in the middle of the league. 1998 succeeded the first title, as by a 3-1 final win against Rosenborg BK in the eleven Norwegian Cup competition triumphed. In the same year succeeded to the third place in the standings, the best to date, the team placement and first participated in the UEFA Cup. In the 2004 season, they finished only second from bottom place and were relegated to the Adecco Ligaen. After the commitment of the Swedish coach January Jönsson managed the immediate resurgence. With the striking duo Daniel Nannskog Veigar Páll Gunnarsson and that always ranked in the following years at the top of the scoring list, the team was able to establish the front of the table. On 26 October 2008, Stabæk secured with a 6-2 victory over Vålerenga with a game to end of the season for the first time the Norwegian title. The Double missed the team by a significant 1:4 defeat in the cup final against Vålerenga IF, but was able to return the favor with a 3-1 success in the Super Finals between champion and cup winner before the start of follow- season. 2012 then followed the descent into second-rate Adecco Ligaen.
