Stefano Celozzi ( born November 2, 1988 in Günzburg ) is a German footballer of Italian descent.

Career

Clubs

Celozzi began in Bubesheim at the local sports club with football games, was later TSV Wasserburg, a district Club of Günzburg, active, and came afterwards in the youth department of the SSV Ulm 1846. Having the son of Italian immigrants had regularly shown good performance, the managers were FC Bayern Munich, the club maintains a partnership with the Ulmern, attentive to him. 1 May 2007 Celozzi was appointed Ottmar Hitzfeld's first time in the training group of professionals. In the 2007 /08 season, he was a contract player to the advanced professional squad, but remained without obligation stake.

For the 2008/09 season Celozzi moved for about 200,000 euros for Bundesliga Karlsruher SC, for whom he signed a contract valid until 2011. On August 16, 2008 ( 1st Round ) debuted Celozzi 1-0 win at home against VfL Bochum. Although the end of the season it was clear the descent of the KSC from the Bundesliga, Celozzi was a winner of the season. He sat by at the Karlsruhe citizens and became a favorite with audiences. His achievements acknowledged the fans after the season by voting the defender to " KSC Player of the Year ."

For the 2009/10 season Celozzi moved to VfB Stuttgart. With the VfB Stuttgart he played on 18 August 2009 his first game in the play-off to participate in the Champions League 2009/10 against Romania's FC Timişoara, six more to retirement in the second round followed.

VfB Stuttgart did not extend to June 30, 2012 expiring contract with Celozzi. He was then obliged by league rivals Eintracht Frankfurt for the 2012/13 season. When Movers Celozzi signed a valid contract until 30 June 2014.

National

Celozzi completed for the U -16 national team seven games; for the first time on August 26, 2003 in Weil am Rhein in the 5-0 win over the selection of Switzerland, with the final on 26 May 2004 in Prüm in the 2-0 victory against the selection of Belgium. In the U-17 national team, he came to use six times; for the first time on 30 September 2004 in Parchim in a 4-0 victory against the selection of Lithuania, the last time on 30 March 2005 in Sandhausen in the 2:3 defeat to the selection of the Netherlands. On 11 August 2009 he made his debut in the U- 21 team when he came on in Kiev in the 1-3 defeat against the national team of Turkey in the 69th minute for Daniel Schwaab.

Celozzis Father Pio Celozzi was between 2002 and 2009 for seven years youth coach at SSV Ulm 1846.
