The Subaru Outback is a car of the middle class of the Japanese car manufacturer Subaru. It is based on the Subaru Legacy and was released in late 1996 as the Subaru Legacy Outback in Germany, but is listed as a separate model since the end of 1999.

The differences lie in the legacy of the increased ground clearance and in the off-road look. Like most Subaru models also has the Outback all-wheel drive. Competitors are the Audi Allroad Quattro and Volvo XC70, but they are positioned slightly higher in terms of dimensions, performance and prices.

Facelift

In September 2009, Subaru brought the fourth version of the Outback on the market. This is based on the Legacy BM / BR.

There were to launch two gasoline engines and one diesel engine to choose from:
