Suureranna is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Kõrgessaare ( Kõrgessaare vald ). It is the second largest Estonian island of Hiiumaa ( German Dagö ).

Description

Suureranna has fourteen inhabitants ( 31 December 2011).

The place is located in the southeast of the peninsula Kõpu ( Kõpu pool saar ), on the Baltic coast. The fine sandy beach extends gently into the sea.

East of the village is the 247.4 -acre reserve Suureranna ( Suureranna hoiuala ). It was set up to protect the fragile flora on the west coast of Hiiumaa in 2007.
