Viita is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Kõrgessaare ( Kõrgessaare vald ). It is the second largest Estonian island of Hiiumaa ( German Dagö ).

Description and History

Viita has four inhabitants ( 31 December 2011).

The place is located in the south of the peninsula Kõpu ( Kõpu pool saar ). He emerged in the mid -17th century. The name of the village probably derives from the names of the men Viidas. The relatively mild micro- climate of the place permitted a good agriculture.
