TagAZ
The Taganrog Awtomobilny Zavod ( Taganrog Automobile Plant, Russian Таганрогский автомобильный завод ) originates from the Ischmasch plants and produced from 1987 cars in VAZ license in the Russian city of Izhevsk. Since 2008, in South Korea and also produces in Taganrog since 2009. The vehicles from the production TagAZ can be seen in the vehicle identification number on the manufacturer code x7m.
History
The main source of income Ischmash works was the production of weapons for which the town became nationally famous. The cars, however, found only a small paragraph and had to surrender the Lada originals. Despite all this, the production of the Izh 2126 to 1998, Orbit was unchanged.
Ischmash eventually built the plant on two production lines and established a joint venture with Daewoo Motor Corporation, the new brand Doninwest from which you promised yourself a high heel. But the long and cumbersome transport of vehicle parts from Korea into the Taganrog Automobile Plant, was very expensive and made the vehicles for Russian conditions too expensive. So Doninwest Asso, Doninwest Orion and Kondor Doninwest sold poorly and the works indebted enormously.
The brand name Doninwest was eventually dropped in 2000 and the production lines were renewed. Overall, the Taganrog Automobile Plant now had a total of 10 production lines. The production of the second generation Condor, which on the SsangYong Korando, based the model was retained and now got its original name of SsangYong. On the second production line of SsangYong Musso also now been built for the Russian market.
Negotiations with Pontiac, which ran since 1998, made in March 2002, now for the license for the production of the current Grand Prix (sixth generation), which ultimately remained in production until 2008. On the other production lines ran from 2005 models Hyundai Accent, Hyundai Sonata and Hyundai Porter (winner of the Golden Steering Wheel 2009 in Russia) from the tape. 2007 followed the first-generation Hyundai Santa Fe and the Elantra luxury version Hyundai Elantra XD.
The following year, the Taganrog Automobile Plant now triggered the Ischmasch Group and bought now fully licensed from the ailing and under creditor protection company SsangYong Motors to and produces the models now under the independent brand name Tagaz ( ТагАЗ ) for the Russian market. The Hyundai models have thus far remained unchanged in production.
The current products are the TagAZ the Tagaz Tager, Road Tagaz partners and the Tagaz C100 Vega and the Tagaz Master truck. 2009, the Vortex has been introduced. The older Santa Fe was renamed Santa Fe Classic. The annual production is currently around 80,000 units / year. In January 2010, the latest models of the Vortex Corda and the Vortex Tingo have been adapted in the model range than at present. In parallel, the company launched the production of the Hyundai County in different versions. The Porter has meanwhile given up.
