History

Thalfang was first mentioned in 632. From the 12th century Thalfang belonged to Mark Dhronecken who was also called Mark Thalfang. The wild Count Dhronecken Castle was the administrative seat of the Office. The castle was unsuccessfully besieged in 1403 by the Elector of Trier. Only under the French to Mark Dhronecken was dissolved in 1800. The French reorganized the distribution of land, and the mairies Talling and Thalfang emerged. To Mairie Thalfang the places Bäsch, Burtscheid, Deuselbach, Dhronecken, Etgert, Hilscheid, Immert, Malborn, Rorodt and the extinct Röder Bach belonged ( abandoned in 1900 ).
