The Match (TV series)
The match was one produced on behalf of the Swiss television reality show, which aired in 2006 and 2008 on SF zwei. Per season take 18 Swiss celebrities from various fields participated in a week-long football training camp, Gilbert Gress ( head coach ), Urs Schönberger (assistant coach ) and Martin Brunner ( goalie coach ) was passed. The final highlight was a live rendered game between the celebrity team and a selection of former Swiss national team.
The match was of b & b endemol, a subsidiary of Endemol International produced. The original concept of "The Match " originates from England, where it was initially developed by the British Endemol subsidiary and has already produced several times.

2006
In 2006, the program was broadcast from April 25 to June 6.
The game against the legends took place on 1 June 2006 at Espenmoos stadium in St. Gallen instead. The celebrity team lost 1:6 here. The only scorer on the side of the celebrity choice was the National Toni Brunner. The final live match watched an average of 670,000 viewers (peak value just before the end of the game: 818'000 ), corresponding to a market share of 36 %.

2008
On the occasion of EURO 2008, the program was carried out in 2008 again. The game against the legends took place on 29 May at the Allmendfeld stadium in Lucerne and ended 1:2 ( scorers: Renzo Blumenthal, 47 minutes 1-0, Stéphane Chapuisat, 55 min 1:1, Georges Bregy, 76. 1:2 min ). Together with the legends of the celebrity team met on June 5 in Altach against a selection of Austrian broadcast the match on. The game won the Austrians 4-2, though the Swiss were better appreciated.
