The Hala Tivoli in Ljubljana, Slovenia is an indoor ice rink and home to the resident Hockey Association HDD Olimpija Ljubljana. With a capacity of 4,500 spectators it is one of the largest venues in Slovenia and also serves as an event center for concerts. In addition to the large indoor ice rink, there is still a small sports hall in the 4,050 visitors find space for basketball matches.

History

The basic structure of today's hall with the stands and the ice was completed in 1962. The next three years the stadium was operated as an open- air arena, before a roof was built in 1965. The last reconstruction took place in 2005, in which, among other things, all standing places were replaced by seats. The hall is heated and very easily adaptable by different measures for events of all kinds. For this reason, the hall is known as a concert venue beyond the borders of Slovenia and also regularly sold out.

In the great hall of the Hala Tivoli matches in the preliminary round group A are organized by the European Basketball Championship in 2013.
